In Oct 2015 I made 10 days trekking tour to the Annapurna Base Camp and a guided sightseeing tour through Kathmandu. I visited all the nice places Pasputinath, Swayambhunath and Durbar Square with Sharmila. Sharmila showed me nice secret places which I never would be able to find alone. In the afternoon we visited together a real Nepali market. The tour was so interesting that I booked another tour to Bhaktapur for the next morning. The special thing on the tours with Sharmila was that I could ask her whatever I wanted. She has no secrets and so we talked more than friends than guide and client. The most fabulous thing happened after the second tour. Sharmila was invited to an engagement/wedding party of her best girlfriend and she asked me if I wanted to join her and her family at this Nepali party. I said yes, After 2 hours party I had to leave for my flight back to Europe. I will never forget this time with Sharmila as it was as impressive than seeing the Annapurna.

My experience in Nepal

It was my 70^th birthday in Jan 2016. To mark the occasion I had the idea that a trek in the Himalayas would represent a suitable celebration. My much fitter nephew also expressed an interest. I therefore contacted Apoorva Tours to ask if they could organize things for us. They had no hesitation and provided everything we needed. We were met at the airport in Kathmandu and they arranged taxis to wherever we wanted to go. This included taxis to and from the airport for the flight to Lukla. The trek itself was magnificent, The trek took us to Gorak Shep at the base of Kala Patthar. This is at a height of 5550 meters and the view of Everest is stunning. I believe it is the best you will see anywhere. It almost feels like you are on the great mountain itself! We also trekked on to Gokyo and on Gokyo Ri where we were treated to yet more magnificent views of Everest. From here you also have an amazing vista of the surrounding mountains and glacier. All in all, it is a trip I feel everyone who loves the kind of experience you can only find in the high Himalayas with their magnificent views should make. For those interested in Nepalese culture, a few days in Kathmandu visiting the world heritage sights is also a must. I unreservedly recommend Apoorva tours to anyone looking for an extremely friendly, reliable and flexible service. They simply provided everything we needed and asked for, were extremely caring, and definitely went beyond expectations. This was my third visit to nepal, and I would definately use Apoorva Tours should I return.
