Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300 m/4,264 ft)

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be warmly greeted by a representative from Apoorva Tours. You will be meeting your guide on the same day.

Day 02: Drive/Fly to Pokhara (820m/2,690 ft) to Nayapool to Tikhedhunga

It’s a scenic 25 minutes flight to Pokhara. Our journey begins with an adventurous flight above the range of beautiful green Hills and White Mountains. Flying over we will reach at another beautiful city of Pokhara which nature has arranged majestically. We can also drive to Pokhara through our private Tourist vechile. It takes about 6 hours to reach Pokhara. Pokhara will be a transit for a while as we will take a private vehicle and drive all the way to Nayapool from where our trek starts. We pass through the little town Nayapool, crossing the suspension bridge and reach second point Birethanti. Trail now slightly ascends through forest, village, and fields and arrives at Hile where you will have your lunch, there are few tea houses for lunch before Hile alternative to Hile. They serve variety of foods like noodles, spaghetti, pizzas, rice, vegetable, chicken(no beefor pork) meat and it’s items, potato, breads, spring rolls, dumplings, egg items etc. After the lunch the trail further climbs a small village, Tikhedhunga. We stay overnight in Tikhedhunga.

Day 3: Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2,860m/9,380ft)

We wake up early in the morning, have breakfast, pack our necessary things and start our trek. This is one of the longest day walks in Annapurna Base Camp Trek. Day starts with the steep uphill of Ulleri 1,960m through thousands of stone staircase and arrives at Banthati which is a perfect lunch place before moving forward to Ghorepani through Rhododendron forest. As we have gained remarkable height, day becomes colder after the lunch. After passing few tea houses at upper Banthati, trail further climbs up and arrives in lower Ghorepani. Upper Ghorepani is better place for staying which has greater view of mountains and the Kali Gandaki Valley on the other side of the hill.

Day 4: Ghorepani to Poonhill (3,210m/10,528ft) to Tadapani (2,630m/8,626ft)

Before sunrise we walk up to Poonhill, 50 minutes hike, with our all of our necessary equipment like torch light and warm clothes as the mornings are dark and the weather will be cold. We can then enjoy a fantastic sunrise view above the towering Annapurna I (8,091m), Annapurna II(, Mt. Machhapuchhre (Mt.Fishtail)(6,997m), Mt.Dhaulagiri(8,167m), Mt Niligiri(6,946m) and many other mountains. We then trek back to hotel, have our breakfast and hike to Tadapani. The trail ascends through Rhododendron forest which leads us to the top of hill around the same height of Poonhill offering you another great view of mountain and the valley. Now the trail follows narrow downhill to lunch stop at Banthati through Deurali. After lunch at Banthati, We descend through rhododendron forest, pass by spectacular waterfalls along the way and reach Tadapani for our overnight stop.

Day 5: Tadaptani to Chhomrong (2,170m/7,118ft)

Here the trail to Base Camp splits up with the main trail of Ghorepani PoonHill Trek going towards Ghandruk. The trail goes steep downhill from left side of the village through forest, fields and several tea houses until a steel suspension bridge over a small stream and climbs up to Gurung Village with several houses scattered on the green farm. After eating lunch around the last stop of the village, we further walk through forest and fields with slightly uphill trail and pass through several houses and arrive at beginning of Chomrong village, further 20 minutes walk brings you to the main Chomrong village which is the largest settlement in this route. We can see the outstanding Views of Annapurna South, Fishtail and Himchuli mountains from here. Explore around the village if you are not so tired. We stay overnight in Chhomrong.

Day 6: Chhomrong to Dovan (2,570m/8,430ft)

The trail out of Chhomrong descends via 2,500 stone steps, takes an hour and we cross the Chhomrong Khola on an influential suspension bridge. After two hours of an uphill climb we will reach Sinuwa. Next, we pass through a beautiful Rhododendron forest, by an easy gradual and downhill walk to Bamboo. An hour walk through the bamboo forest, we will be in our today’s destination. Overnight in Dovan.

Day 7: Dovan to Deurali (3,230m/10,595ft)

After having breakfast we start our trek passing through the bamboo forest and then ascend steadily up with fewer steep sections. Only after reaching Himalaya Hotel that the forest opens up and we are out in the sun again with amazing views of the glacial river below. It is a steep climb up through a much drier forest before reaching Hinku Cave. From here we can see the trail drop closer to the river before climbing again to Deurali, the most scenic stretch of the day. The vegetation is sparser, allowing magical views of the valley, the river below, and the sheer rock face cliffs above with bands of wispy waterfalls as well the white face monkey (Himalayan Lagur). Overnight in Deurali.

Day 8: Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) (4,130m/13,545ft)

After our breakfast we start our trek passing through the bamboo forest and then ascend steadily up with fewer steep sections. Only after reaching Himalaya Hotel the forest opens up and we are out in the sun again with amazing views of the glacial river below. It is a steep climb up through a much drier forest before reaching Hinku Cave. From here we can see the trail drop closer to the river before climbing again to Deurali, the most scenic stretch of the day. Day 9: Trek back ABC to Bamboo (2,310m/7,576ft)

We wake up just before sunrise and enjoy sunrise over Mt Annapurna and Mt Machapuchre also known as Mt. Fishtail. The peaks are lit golden by the sunlight. After breakfast, we begin our journey back to Bamboo. Today’s trek is downhill so it shouldn’t be very difficult although you should take care of your shaky legs and walk slowly and steadily. Over 1,800 meters climb down to Bamboo where We willstay overnight.

Day 10: Bamboo to Jhinu Dada (1,780m/5,838ft)

It’s an exciting day walk after a hard week, descend down to Chomrong stream slowly and climb up to Chomrong village for lunch. After lunch we walk the steep downhill through narrow rocky trail until we reach Jhinudanda. After checking in your rooms,its worth a visit to the hot Springs, its a 20 minute walk and you will be rewarded as you enjoy the warm water. Our overnight stay is at Jhinu Dada.

Day 11: Jhinu Dada to Nayapool (1,070m/3,510 ft) to Pokhara.

This long last days walk starts downhill from Jhinu and crosses the suspension bridge over the Modi River and passes through fields, forest and several small villages on the right side of the river. The trail meets the main trail from Ghorepani at Syaulibazar where we eat our lunch and further walk through rocky and dusty road to Birethati where the trail splits to the way to Ghorepani on our first day walk to Tikhedhunga. The final 20 minutes walk concludes the trekking at Nayapul. Drive back to Pokhara in private vechile. Walk around, Shopping around Lake Side and free evening hang out at Nightclubs, Dance Bars and many other restaurants and bars at Pokhara.

Day 12: Fly back to Kathmandu, a free day

We fly back to Kathmandu after our long journey. The early morning flight drops us in Kathmandu. We can rest and relax throughout the day at hotel. If you wish to take some gifts home from Nepal for friends and relatives, we can visit to some nearby shops or venture out in Thamel for typical Nepalese goods. We end our adventure with a farewell dinner in the evening. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 13: Final departure from Nepal

The journey within the mountains of Nepal comes to an end today. There is nothing to do but we can email to travel companions and organize our photos. If we have more time we can do some shopping or sightseeing. At least 3 hours before our scheduled flight, our representative escorts us to the airport. On our way to home we will have plenty of time finaly comprehend the magnificence of what we have experienced and witnesseed and think about our next adventure trip in the wonderful country of Nepal.
